Most of the native orchids in Wisconsin can be found in Door County. These yellow lady slippers, Cypripedium parviflorum, are blooming in the open woods around the refuge. We were surprised to find several hundred in bloom. If you are visiting Door County in late May to late June be sure to look for these and other beautiful orchid species!
